Officially launched on 1 June 2025, we are glad to introduce our newly funded Horizon Europe project GREEN TALENT, set to run for 4 years and aimed at uniting 17 academic, public and private sector partner institutions from Europe and the United States.
With the overall objective to develop a sustainable capacity of organisations to enhance researchers’ skills and competences and combat climate change and biodiversity loss, the GREEN TALENT initiative is about empowering a new generation of scientists, researchers and innovators through collaboration and mutual learning. Grounded in the EU’s ERA Policy Agenda, this project plans to improve researchers’ and secondments’ professional development in the field of science through group mentoring activities, job shadowing and networking events and provide them with the necessary hands-on experience.
In addition, during its implementation, the project has planned to develop 4 Demonstration Pilot Hubs in each Widening Country, Malta, Greece, Cyprus and Bulgaria, serving as collaborative training grounds for academic and non-academic sectors. To effectively support and empower research staff, GREEN TALENT will employ a variety of assessment tools to measure the impact of the training activities and ensure their long-term effectiveness.
All training materials will be made available through the GREEN TALENT Capacity-Building Platform, giving access not only to learning resources, but also highlighting relevant case studies, boosting peer learning and establishing an Exchange Forum, aimed at boosting collaboration and interdisciplinary dialogue.
