Work Packages

WP1

Project management and coordination

Led by EcoINN

WP1 will provide strong and coherent coordination in administrative management terms and coordinate the scientific aspects of the project. To fulfil the goals, WP1 will establish structures for overall project coordination and management, including mechanisms for self-evaluation, learning, and risk management.

In addition, the work package will promote clear communication and collaboration between the project’s team and stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships and will establish ethics and data management procedures, maximising the access and reuse of research data.

WP2

Cross-sectoral roadmap for building R&I capacity

Led by Cyl

WP2 will address capacity gaps identified via open-access Needs Assessment Tool (NAT) and participation tools, including questionnaires and workshops. A GREEN TALENT roadmap will be developed to address the identified deficiencies, through training, secondments, and capacity-building, aligned with the EU's R&I, biodiversity, and climate 2030 targets.

WP3

Capacity building and training

Led by OUC

Тhe main goal of WP3 is to train researchers, innovators, and R&I staff in climate, biodiversity, and knowledge valorisation, enhancing their knowledge, competences, and skills. This will be achieved by developing both training modules on addressing climate change and biodiversity challenges and training modules for administrative, managerial, and technical staff. In addition, a peer-reviewed feedback loop will be established to improve content and publish all training material.

WP4

Cross-sectoral GREEN TALENT exchange

Led by UOC

WP4 will facilitate the mobility and exchange of R&I talents across academic and non-academic sectors and countries, promoting career development and knowledge transfer. The focus of the WP4 work will be preparing GREEN TALENTs for secondments by orientation sessions, briefings, and equipping them with the necessary knowledge and tools.

An important part of WP4 work will be developing personalised career plans for the candidates, in addition to providing seamless cross-sectoral and cross-border secondments, including return plans for debriefing and reintegration.

WP5

Cross-sectoral GREEN TALENT exchange

Led by EcoINN

WP5 will foster cross-sectoral partnerships and joint initiatives to address climate and biodiversity challenges through collaborative efforts across both widening and non-widening countries. Four Demonstration Hubs will be established in the WCs, and an Exchange Forum, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. Additionally, WP5 will launch a Capacity-Building Platform where training materials and resources will be provided.

WP6

Monitoring, evaluation, and impact assessment

Led by NUIM

WP6 will ensure continuous oversight of project activities, measuring their impact and effectiveness through a structured Monitoring and Evaluation Framework and regular assessments of training programs and secondments, using feedback for continuous improvement.

WP7

Communication, dissemination, and exploitation

Led by Pensoft Publishers

WP7 will establish and sustain GREEN TALENT’s impact and visibility, as well as raise awareness of project results. The goals of the work package will be achieved through a recognisable visual identity, facilitating knowledge exchange between academia and non-academia and encouraging collaboration across demonstration pilots.
