The fourth edition of the World Biodiversity Forum took place from the 14th until the 19th of June in Davos, Switzerland, under the theme of “Leading Transformation Together.” At the forum, important topics in the realms of biodiversity loss were discussed, more specifically the role of interconnected planetary crises that negatively impact planetary health and the crucial necessity of social justice for the development of actionable solutions. In addition, the conference addresses the importance of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, which supports biodiversity causes beyond the government structures.
A major highlight of Green Talent’s presence at the forum was the poster presentation by Ricardo Mendes Correia from Ecostack Innovations, titled "From Research to Transformative Practice Labs: Investing in GREEN TALENTS to Build Capacities for Systemic Change." The poster illustrated how the project bridges the gap between research and real-world impact. Ricardo also presented a second poster at the conference: "Mapping the Biodiversity-Climate Nexus in EU Research Portfolios," which explores the intersections between biodiversity and climate priorities across EU-funded research. On the sidelines of the forum, he connected with a representative from the BIONEXT project, exchanging insights between the two initiatives, which is once again a testament to the collaborative spirit that defines Green Talent's approach and future ambitions.

The project was also well represented at the Pensoft Publishers team’s stand, which attended the event to promote the project within the wider biodiversity network, alongside fellow Horizon Europe initiatives. The stand featured promotional materials offering visitors an in-depth look at Green Talent’s Demonstration Hubs and how they aim to build long-term capacities for biodiversity conservation across Europe and beyond.
