Members of the GREEN TALENT consortium joined researchers, policymakers and digital leaders from across Europe and beyond at the IVI Summit 2026, hosted by the Innovation Value Institute (IVI) at Maynooth University, Ireland, from 10–12 June 2026. The event marked IVI's twentieth anniversary, this year's summit gathered over 300 participants around the theme "20 Years of Impactful Research - What's Next?", bringing together voices from industry, government, academia and civil society to examine the future of digital transformation.

GREEN TALENT's presence was felt across the three-day programme. A dedicated workshop on societal change was led by project members Dr. Tadhg MacIntyre and Dr. Michael Hanley, with the session exploring knowledge gaps in data and who we share it with, spanning climate change, leadership, urban health and green competencies. The session was also supported by Ana Rodriguez and drew engaged participation from summit attendees, who were eager to interrogate how data flows and data literacy shape collective responses to environmental challenges.

The summit also brought a moment of recognition for Dr. Michael Hanley, who received the IVI Outstanding Contribution and Leadership for Digital Innovation award, acknowledging sustained impact in advancing innovation for organisational digital transformation.

Overall, the IVI Summit 2026 offered a valuable platform for GREEN TALENT to connect with the wider digital innovation community, deepen conversations around societal transformation and reinforce the project's commitment to building the competencies needed to navigate an uncertain climate future.
