September has been a busy month for GREEN TALENT, with the project gaining visibility at events across Europe. Promotional materials were shared with researchers, practitioners, and other stakeholders at various occasions.

Nordic Oikos 2026

One of the first opportunities came at the Nordic Oikos 2026 conference, held in Odense, Denmark, from 14 to 17 September. Organised jointly by the Nordic Society Oikos and the Ecological Society of Germany, Austria and Switzerland (GfÖ), the conference brought together more than 1,000 participants from the ecological research community.

GREEN TALENT promotional materials were made available at the event, introducing participants to the project's work on strengthening capacity, skills, and knowledge exchange across sectors. While the conference covered a broad range of ecological research, its diverse audience offered an additional opportunity for GREEN TALENT to reach researchers and professionals who may benefit from its resources and activities.

BIOLOGUE Kick-off Meeting

GREEN TALENT was also represented at the BIOLOGUE Kick-off Meeting, held in Bonn, Germany, from 23 to 25 September. The newly launched Horizon Europe project focuses on biodiversity perceptions, communication approaches, and dialogue between policymakers, stakeholders, and society. With biodiversity communication and knowledge exchange forming an important part of both projects, the kick-off provided a relevant setting to showcase GREEN TALENT and its activities to the BIOLOGUE consortium.

Final SELINA Workshop in Riga

September finished off with the eighth and final SELINA Workshop, taking place in Riga, Latvia, from 28 September to 2 October. The workshop brings together project partners, stakeholders, and members to reflect on SELINA's achievements, share lessons learned and strengthen the integration of knowledge developed throughout the project.

GREEN TALENT promotional materials have been shared at the event, helping participants discover the project's training opportunities, demonstration hubs and work to support collaboration and knowledge exchange across academia, industry, the public sector and NGOs.

Connecting projects and communities

From ecology and biodiversity to knowledge exchange and cross-sector collaboration, these events provided valuable opportunities to introduce GREEN TALENT to audiences beyond its own activities and strengthen connections across the European scientific research and innovation community. As GREEN TALENT continues, more events across Europe will create opportunities to share the project’s work and strengthen knowledge exchange around biodiversity and climate challenges.
